NSU s Sherrelle Jordan Selected for FLAME Program

Comments

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Nova Southeastern University women's track and field star, Sherrelle Jordan, has been selected to take part in FLAME Finding Leaders Among Minorities Everywhere. The three-time All-American hurdler joins former NSU women's basketball player, Jasmine Wilkins, as the only Shark student-athletes to participate in the program. Jordan will attend this year's event in Colorado Springs, Colorado from Tuesday, July 25 to Tuesday, August 1, participating in personal and professional development workshops in preparation for a career in sports. FLAME is designed to inspire undergraduate and graduate students of color to pursue careers within the Olympic and Paralympic movements. The program provides diverse college and graduate-level students with a unique look into the world of elite sport. "I can't wait to attend FLAME this week," Jordan said smiling ear to ear. "This is a huge honor for me to attend this great program. I am looking forward to meeting everyone, including the speakers and fellow athletes who wish to pursue a career in sports. This is a great opportunity for me to increase my knowledge in sports and develop as a professional in the sport industry."
